Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Topher grew up in a family owned salon, which fuelled his passion for making people look and feel fabulous. He joined Arrojo straight after completing beauty school at the Aveda Institute, New York, and has since proved a star of the team. He's a phenomenal hair cutter and an expert in finding the right product for the right person. His career credits already include traveling with the Arrojo show and seminar team, hair styling for a host of burlesque superstars, a calendar for iheartbrooklyngirls.com, and editorials for iconic magazines gonyc, velvet park, cosmopolitan, and curve. Most of all Topher loves servicing his loyal clientele at the studio.

COURTNEY
(level 2)

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Courtney is a color artist with creative verve, strong technique, and infectious passion. A graduate of our famed in-house training program, she studied cosmetology at the Redken Academy in Florida State. Soon after, she met Nick Arrojo and the team at Orlando Premiere. Inspired by the energy of the show, and the education and career opportunity’s our studio offered, she applied for a job, and followed a lifelong dream to move to New York. Now Courtney is one of most talented young colorists. Warm, friendly, and fun, she loves meeting new people, the variety and creativity of her craft, and working with each client to find their perfect hue.

FLORES
(level 2)

Flores’ roots are in a sleepy Californian surf town and––as a third generation stylist whose Grandpa is a barber––her roots are also in the art and craft of hairstyling. In 2007 she fell in love with the energy and inspiration of New York, and moved to the City to study cosmetology. Now she is a graduate of our famed, in-house training program, has worked New York Fashion Week, traveled with the ARROJO artistic team to nationwide beauty shows, and facilitated advanced education seminars. Most of all Flores is an exceptional young colorist, talented, technically precise, creative, and trend-conscious. With a fun-loving personality she loves to help each client discover a range of great looks by enhancing color and texture.

LEE
(level 2)

Born and raised in Texas, Lee's career started as a stylist in Fort Worth. Her innate abilities and dedication meant she quickly strengthened her skills as a stylist, and as a teacher: She began to travel with Sebastian as a regional product educator; it was here that she was first introduced to ARROJO, and became fascinated with our teaching techniques, styling, and commitment to the hairdressing craft. And so, Lee moved to New York to join our team. Now she has completed our training program, traveled with us to nationwide Trend Vision shows, produced some terrific editorial work, and educated others in our hairdressing method. Lee is a fantastic hair cutter, committed to shaping modern, wearable looks for each client.

TATUM
(level 2)

A New Orleans Native, Tatum attended the famed North Carolina University. But with a rich family heritage in the industry, it was his desire to master the art and craft of hairdressing that stood out. He moved to New York in 2006; soon after he joined the Arrojo Studio team where his passion and dedication made him an instant hit. A gifted stylist, Tatum features in Seventeen Magazine as “Best Bargain” in New York, and, with luminaries like Aveda and G-star, his work features on the runways of Milan and Berlin. His well-rounded training includes working with award-winning stylists, Antoinette Beenders and Allen Ruiz. Tatum gives our clients a unique experience with his warm personality, technical ability, and refined aesthetic.

ASHLEY
(level 2)

Ashley is a magical colorist and a great person. She was born in Michigan, but grew up on the Florida coast. While attending the Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School she found her true passion was in the art of hair color. To further her career she then moved to NYC, joining the ARROJO apprentice team in 2007. Ashley has now graduated from our advanced training program, worked at educational shows and seminars, and produced some killer hair styling on the ARROJO underground event in '07 and '08. Inspired by fashion and music, Ashley is a young colorist with incredible talent and technique, while her charming and bubbly personality makes her a favorite with clients and colleagues alike.

EMILY
(level 2)

Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, Emily is a shining star of our team. She attended the Paul Mitchell School, and then, inspired by the ARROJO image and the desire to share her own vision, she made a beeline to our studio. Emily, a graduate of our 22-month advanced training program, is a technically precise and creatively gifted hair cutter. She’s been part of the ARROJO show and seminar team at IBS Orlando and New York, worked alongside emerging design stars at New York Fashion Week, and collaborated with fellow studio stylists on the fantastic neoplasticism collection. Emily has passion for precise haircuts and making people look and feel beautiful.

TIM
(level 2)

Hailing from Huntington Beach, Tim brings 10 years experience as a stylist and educator. Seeing NY as the epicenter of fashion and creative energy, Tim left California for New York with a vision to improve his knowledge and skills. It led him to ARROJO, where he takes inspiration from a cast of world-renowned stylists, and has the freedom to push the artistic envelope. With vibrant, imaginative work, seen at fashion week and ARROJO underground ’10, Tim’s mark on NY and ARROJO is already made. His passion for the craft shines through the quality of his work, and through his dedication to making every client feel newfound confidence with looks that put a smile on their face, and a swagger in their step.

BARTON
(level 1)

In 1997, aged 19, Barton was drawn to New York by the city’s artistic energy, and his own desire for creative endeavor. Acting, painting, and writing fulfilled Barton’s inventive spirit, until, after years of styling friends’ hair, he attended NYC’s Aveda Institute and discovered that his career ambition and creative passion could be realized by coloring hair. A unique talent, Barton flew through our in-house training program, and was a key contributor to ARROJO Underground 2009, 2010, 20011. His work also features on the cover of Rebel Ink magazine. Barton is outgoing, full of life, and a dynamic and creative colorist. An approach that balances artistry and functionality to achieve an inspired, personalized look for all those who sit in his chair makes him a firm favorite at ARROJO.

ZEPH
(level 1)

Originally from Manchester, New Hampshire, Zeph is a hair cutter with rare talent and skill – just one month after graduating beauty school, his styling for a men’s photo-shoot featured in the Boston Globe. Since then he has fulfilled his dream to move to NYC, joining ARROJO after a studio visit proved proof positive that this was the best salon for continued education. Zeph flew through our advanced training program, with credits including IBS Chicago and NYC, hairstyling for the ‘Your 33 Black Angels’ album cover, New York Fashion Week show styling, and the Keith Haring by the House of Field Paradise Garage Collection. Closely connected to the music, art, and fashion scene, Zeph is always on the pulse of latest trends and loves working with clients to shape the perfect look for their personal taste and style.

CAROLINE
(level 1)

Originally from Santa Cruz, Caroline is a California girl who came to New York to be the best hairdresser that she could be. A precise and creative cutter, she has exceptionally good taste, is charming, diligent, and considerate, and loves to make each client look and feel terrific. Caroline joined our team as an apprentice, passed our in-house training program with gold stars, and can boast credits like working with the ARROJO artistic team at international beauty shows, IBS New York and Premiere Orlando – where her skills on the show booth proved a beacon of inspiration. From a family tree of hairdressers, Caroline has the innate ability to find the perfect style, create a great experience, for every client.

INVA
(level 1)

Inva joined us as an apprentice with rare artistry and skill. Today she is a graduate of our in-house training program, and a colorist who blends talent and technique with a strong creative vision. Exceptionally versatile, she can move effortlessly between pretty girl hair and rock and roll attitude, and always looks to customize colors to individual taste and style. She also has an exceptional list of credits, including: IBS, New York Fashion Week show styling for Binetti and Custo Barcalona, and a standout collection for ARROJO Underground ’09. Originally from southern Europe, Inva has a Mediterranean heart, a New York City soul, and cites the commitment to in-house education and the fashion-forward New York vibe of the studio as the key to joining our team.

GARDNER
(level 1)

An intuitive, creative hair cutter Gardner moved from Colorado to New York to join our team in 2009. By adding precise technique to artistic flair, he is now a graduate of our in-house training program. A great addition to our team, Gardner styled hair for Katie Gallagher and Araks at NY fashion week spring ‘11, assisted on the iconic Keith Haring by House of Field Paradise Garage Collection, and his work is featured in Razor Red Magazine. He has also supported ARROJO at IBS Orlando and New York, as well producing a galvanizing, graffiti-inspired look for ARROJO underground ’10. In salon, Gardner is a first-rate client communicator who listens to the needs of the individual. He loves to shape wearable, fashion-forward hairstyles that bring out the best features of each person.

RACHEL
(level 1)

A southern California girl, Rachel will always have a special place in our hearts. She is the first ARROJO cosmetology school graduate to pass our salon-training program and become one of our stylists. She cites the creative energy of the studio as the reason why she is so proud to be part of the team, and considers it her life’s work to give her clients their greatest haircut. As Rachel has studied our techniques at school and in the salon, she has an innate understanding of our modern and creative, precision-based hairdressing method, and strives to make a positive contribution to the future of a craft where all her artistic abilities can be realized.

MARY
(level 1)

Mary was in our first-ever ARROJO cosmetology class and now she is the first school graduate to graduate our salon-training program and become a color specialist. It gives her a distinct appreciation of our modern and creative, precision-based method, and her talent and education have paved the way to some standout credits. She’s worked New York Fashion Week for Katie Gallagher and Araks, been part of the ARROJO artistic team at ABS Chicago and IBS New York, and supported ARROJO at educational seminars and shows. She enjoys meeting new people, and working with them to create wearable and trendy looks. Originally from Morristown, New Jersey, Mary boasts a simple philosophy: “I love making people look pretty,” she says.

Tabitha
(level 1)

Originally from Orange County, Tabitha boasts seven years experience as an expert hair colorist at a prestigious Californian salon. While pursuing further education, she met the ARROJO team and felt a like-minded commitment to excellence. Inspired, she joined us in the summer of 2010. Tabitha is an accomplished color educator, has advanced color theory training from Makeup Designory, and her career credits include New York Fashion Week. As a salon colorist, Tabitha loves to see the clients’ process of transformation; she feels the emotional power of color, its potential to uplift and revitalize. Tabitha has a special talent for color corrections, creates healthy, shiny, beautiful colors, and is always careful to match the tone of the hair to the tone of the eyes and skin.

Huich
(level 1)

Born in South Korea, raised in Indianapolis, and a European and Asian traveler, Huich is a hair cutter with an international eye for style. And as she is a graduate of the first-ever ARROJO cosmetology class, she will always have a special place in our hearts. After school, Huich joined our team for the commitment to artistry and education in the hairdressing craft. Now, after acing the apprentice-training program, she is a technically precise and creatively gifted hair cutter. Her credits already include stunning styles for Custo Barcelona and Katie Gallagher at NY Fashion Week. Personable and charming, Huich believes in the power of giving back, and sees hairdressing, and making people look and feel their best, as her way of doing so.

Martina
(level 1)

Martina’s hairdressing journey has taken her across the globe. Originally from Bulgaria, her career began 15 years ago. She moved to Italy –– where she worked Milan Fashion Week and many international Trade Shows –– and Abu Dhabi, before heading to Florida. Soon after, she met the ARROJO team and knew it was where she wanted to be. She followed her heart. Now she is a prominent member of our team, traveling with us to events in Las Vegas, Florida, and in hometown New York. Passionate about education and growth, Martina sees hairdressing as a lifestyle, and is especially attuned to making her clients happy: “It’s important clients can recreate their look the next morning. I am most content when I see my clients smile, and tell me they love their new style,” she says.

John
(level 1)

John is an outstanding talent. Working for Aveda in hometown Detroit, he was appointed "New Talent Mentor,” with responsibility to train fellow educators. Three years later, John took one step back to take several steps forward. He came to New York to join our team, citing the “best training program in the world,” and a desire to obtain the best foundations. He completed our 24-month apprentice-training program in half that time, while gaining credits for ARROJO underground, Expo, IBS New York, and ABS Chicago. Passionate about the craft, John appreciates the beauty and control of precise technique, but understands what makes success: “What matters most is your ability to connect with another person and use your skills to make them look great and feel their best,” he says.

olivia
(level 1)

Originally from Albany, New York, Olivia was studying finance when she decided to take a new, creative direction. She moved to New York City to attend ARROJO Cosmetology School and she has not looked back. After school graduation, she joined our salon team, completing the salon training program with great distinction. It means Olivia has a complete understanding of ARROJO color techniques and this knowledge shines in her outstanding work. Her credits already include Wella Trend Vision and teaching fellow professionals at ARROJO shows and seminars. A youthful and vibrant personality, Olivia helps people look and feel their best: “I love seeing the transformation in look and personality when someone looks at their new hair color for the first time. It’s so exiting!” she says.

dylan
(level 1)

With an innate sense of style, Dylan is a native New Yorker. A background in theater cements an outgoing and confident personality, while an aptitude for hairstyling that began in college, put her on a new career path. Presently, she made a beeline for ARROJO cosmetology school. As an A-star graduate, she joined our salon team and, with an intrinsic understanding of ARROJO techniques, aced the apprentice-training program. Dylan featured at ARROJO Underground and ARROJO Expo, and she is building a large and loyal client base. “I love having a strong relationship with my clientele,” she says. “I like to work with clients on new colors, season to season, to help them stand out and feel great about themselves.”

shawnee
(level 1)

Shawnee is a young stylist with a big heart, and big ambitions. Originally from Ohio, her talent shone while working at a top local salon. She placed first in the Ohio Skills USA Competition and took educational classes with renowned stylist, Martin Parsons. Soon, Shawnee found ARROJO and joined our team because of the challenging educational program for young stylists, and her desire to be the best. A growing credit list includes New York Fashion Week, photo-shoots for Ann Klein, and assisting session stylists Dennis DeVoy and Dennis Lanni. “Subtle or strong, I enjoy the transformation of a client’s image,” she says. “It’s uplifting to see a happy, satisfied client looking their best. It’s why I love what I do.”

matthew
(level 1)

After attending beauty school in Boston, Matthew moved to New York and trained for two years at Vidal Sassoon. A Florida native, he relocated to Miami, gaining experience as a stylist at Snip, a renowned South Beach Salon. But ARROJO’s reputation for education, and a creative, precision-based approach to hairdressing brought Matthew back to NYC. As technical and creative cutter with a trend-conscious eye, he has an intuitive understanding of what works for each client. Laid back, yet professional, Matthew has that special ability to make each client feel comfortable in his chair, and creates looks tailored to the individual. Well-rounded and sharp-witted, Matthew is a talented guitarist and finds inspiration in Dada Artists and French New Wave Cinema.

Erin is a girl who knows what she wants. Seven years old, she told her family in California that she’d be off to New York soon enough. Twelve years later –– after winning the 'premiere student award' and 'best soirée academy overall look’ at her local Sassoon Academy –– she packed her hairdressing dreams, and headed to the big apple. Erin continued to refine her aesthetic with Sassoon, but switched to ARROJO for a more focused and creative education. Here she excels, fast-tracking through our apprenticeship with great skill. Erin is a precocious talent with infectious passion for the craft, and for the clients she serves: “I love people and building relationships. I love making people feel like a million bucks and seeing them glow as they walk out of the salon,” she says.

nora
(level 1)

Originally from Waco, Texas, Nora is a graduate of our famed cosmetology school. She cites the energy, discipline, and advanced salon training program as the reasons she chose to stay on and earn her stripes as a full-time colorist. Now Nora can boast two ARROJO graduations, passing her apprenticeship consummately. She also styled two models for the ARROJO underground show, receiving rave reviews for the beauty and grace of her work. As a young hairdresser, Nora has the perfect attitude: “Your livelihood depends on your ability to communicate and build relationships with clients. Bonding with clients quickly and letting them know that they are being listened to and taken care of is something that is natural to me. I love what I do!”

hannah
(level 1)

A native New Yorker who was whisked to Florida at 14, Hannah always wanted to come back. As a talented young stylist, working in the Sunshine State, she was saving money to return to the East Coast. Then she met Nick and ARROJO at Orlando Premiere and became inspired by the craft and creativity of the team; she knew she had to be a part of it. Soon, she was back in New York doing her dream job in her dream city. Hannah already possesses credits like hairstyling at NY fashion week, working on photo-shoots and music videos, and teaching at trade shows with senior stylists. “The best haircut is one that complements your style and captures your personality,” she says.
