Nick began his distinguished career with Vidal Sassoon in Manchester. After ten successful years he joined the Wella team in London.

His inspirational work caught the attention of Bumble & Bumble. In 1994 he took the Director of Education post for the eminent New York City salon. Three years later, he established Arrojo Cutler. Under his guidance, the salon was to flourish for three years, whilst Nick became Global Master for Aveda.

September 2001 brought the realization of a life long dream. Nick launched his personal endeavour, Arrojo Studio. The Arrojo Studio is a custom built salon, including Arrojo Education, Arrojo Creative and the Arrojo Color Studio. This space embraces Nick's vision and, ultimately, gives hairdressers the opportunity to take ownership of their industry.

With over 20 years on the salon floor, a razor sharp portfolio and definitive exposure in print and on television, Nick now holds the prestigious position of Special Creative Artist for Wella.

He is a revered stylist, educator and leading light in the business.

A global leader in the color craft, James’ career spans 20 years, and is a veritable checklist of the great and the good. His clients include models, actors, and musicians, his work is featured in print and TV, and he is a contributor to the Behind the Chair book, “185 Formulations From the World’s Top Colorists.” James is the creator of the color trends that feature in the ARROJO editorial collections, presented at shows and seminars worldwide, and including the super-prestigious Wella Future Vision, Berlin. James loves to introduce people to how great color can be, and enjoys the opportunity to use color to create a positive change in the way people look and feel. Originally from San Diego, he has worked alongside Nick since 1998, and at ARROJO since it first opened in 2001.

With 10 years as part of the Vidal Sassoon creative team, and a further six years as a master stylist at ARROJO, Lina combines vision, knowledge, and creativity with fierce technical precision. Her work includes styling for high fashion runway shows and celebrities at the Sundance Film Festival, and she is a constant feature of the ARROJO artistic team at international hair and beauty shows. Her prodigious editorial portfolio includes White Lines and Indi-Visual, both of which have featured in the ARROJO studio storefront window display. Lina has an astute awareness of fashion, trends and style, and is more than happy to translate this to her clientele through a charming, warm and personable air. Born and raised in Paris, Vincent began his outstanding career 12 years ago and has since been acclaimed across the globe for his creative styling. Eight years as Art Director for Toni & Guy in London and New York saw his vision of modern hair being showcased at photo shoots, hair shows and seminars. Vincent began working with Nick and the Arrojo Studio in 2004. His work is an inspiration to the team and clients alike.

With 12 dynamic years in the business, Mark began his career in San Francisco, with Vidal Sassoon. As Art Director for Sassoon in Washington DC, he was extensively involved in education, photo shoots and commercials. He profiled the gold medallists at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. In 2000 he began working with Nick and has subsequently found his opportunities endless. The VH1 Fashion Awards, Mercedes Benz, Fashion Week, Doorknock Makeover and Inside Edition are amongst those embellished by his talents.

From Florida, Amanda originally moved to NYC to join Toni & Guy as their Art Director. Six years in the role ensured her work was recognized worldwide at seminars, hair shows and photo shoots. She is a true master of the hairdressing art, twice receiving the Toni & Guy Editorial Award. Amanda joined Arrojo in 2004, and with a remarkable commitment to our team, she is now our Director of Education. Her innate sense of style, fashion and beauty has led to requests from alternative rockers, the Kings of Leon, Good Charlotte and Audio Slave.

Rudy's outstanding color career includes stints with Vidal Sassoon and Wella, where he was a leading member of their creative team. Wanting to live in a world epicenter for music, fashion, art, and style he moved to the Big Apple in 2008. He joined Arrojo for the potent mix of precise technique and creative freedom, citing this as the perfect mix for a successful salon and a happy working environment. Rudy is a world-class colorist who loves the ever-changing nature of his craft.

Ellie has been a hair colorist for 10 years, joining the Arrojo Team in 2002. With continued success and growth, her portfolio includes work featured in print, fashion, film, and television. Her unique passion for hair color transmits instantly to her clients, and she is a leading member of the Arrojo Education Team, traveling with us to shows and seminars across America. Technically precise with a clear creative vision, Ellie is a phenomenal colorist, blending professionalism with an easy client-friendly approach.

With 20 years experience, and career credits that have touched every corner of the craft, Gerard is assured a place as one of the modern pioneers of the industry. Renowned as a world-class hair cutter and educator, he taught at global shows and seminars with the Vidal Sassoon Academy and Paul Mitchell The School, before taking the prestigious position of Aveda Artisic Director. In this role, Gerard shaped the Aveda curriculum, cementing his place as a visionary hairdresser, at the forefront of new trends and techniques. Gerard joined our team in 2010, when an offer from friend and mentor, Nick Arrojo, to front our education department while also taking clients on the salon floor, proved the perfect independent tonic to the increasingly corporate world of hairdressing.

Crystal is a hair cutter with national and international credits, and a special talent for making clients look and feel beautiful. For sixteen years she was a stylist at the world-renowned Bumble & bumble salon, NYC. She has facilitated educational seminars across North America, worked on fashion shows from New York to Paris to Milan, styled musicians and celebrities, and cemented her reputation as a world-class hairdresser. She joined ARROJO in spring 2011, citing the need to find a new path with a cutting-edge team as she continues to pursue her passion for teaching, stage work, traveling, and styling salon clients. Originally from Milwaukee, Crystal moved to New York in 1994. A notable DJ, spinning weekly at the Beauty Bar, her philosophy states: “Walk to the beat of your own drum.”
